Note: Not specifically a list of good LGBTQ+ representation (though many of them absolutely are, and many are written by queer and/or trans authors!). But I haven't read all of them (yet), so this list doesn't inherently imply my recommendation, as such

Introspective books by people who observe a lot, ponder a lot, feel a lot, and write about it. Creative memoir, self-indulgent navel-gazing, or "wan little husks" (as Joyce Carol Oates once put it)... whatever you personally think about autofiction, including whether or not it really is a genre, this somewhat experimental form of writing most definitely gives both writers and readers a chance to engage in narratives in a different way.

Books to widen the possibilities of how we might save ourselves us from the worsening climate crisis by recognizing and learning from the queerness already represented in nature
