Despite not being a big fan of horror, I always like Stefanie Barnfather's writing style. I love the way she experiments in her short stories and this book is no exception. Fresh Nutrients is an interesting read and I had an idea about where the plot was going very early on, but the climax still felt shocking. I particularly liked the story of Sand Dollar and the clever use of slowly telling the backstory. A great little book and a fast read.
