This story has it all - action, snark, romance, and betrayal. MacKenzie is one of my favorite MC’s. I like that she is tough, snarky, and doesn’t back down. Marked by Pain picks up shortly after Marked by Power ended, with MacKenzie having been kidnapped. I liked that she calls people out on their betrayals and doesn’t just accept what they do. I liked seeing her relationships with the guys progress. MacKenzie is becoming one of my favorite heroines :) And after that cliffhanger ending, I am impatiently waiting for book 3! :)
