yeah these are just books i really liked okay (the thrashers is like an honorable mention..not on the same level of peak as the rest but good enough to make it)

Books where the protagonist is anywhere from smart to genius, and that intelligence gets them through the plot. (Ie lots of characters are smart in dif ways, but these characters solve plot-based conflicts intelligently)

Books with at least one excellent friendship that is core to the novel!

(I decided siblings and friends to lovers don’t count, unless the in the latter one the romance part is SO minor to the plot and the friendship is wayyy more significant.)

Book titles that either intentionally or unintentionally have a Taylor Swift song name/song lyric in their title (as always, recs are welcome!)

Don’t read these at night…unless you’re feeling adventurous.
