Recs if you like Liar City...

Today (May 22) is Sherlock Holmes Day! Whether you read queerness into the original Holmes stories or not, no one can disagree that this is a wonderful moment to highlight some mystery books starring queer characters! (This list is presented by Duck Prints Press, the indie publisher focused on publishing queer art and stories by queer creators! A group of us collaborate to make these recommendations.)

more mystery stories with queer detectives/protagonists! cozies, noir, romance, paranormal, and sci-fi/fantasy mashups abound, but no thrillers, to my knowledge. tried not to repeat too many books also in the quest! series represented by #1

We got a mystery on our hands gays,

lets split up ✂️

And look for clues 🍑

Mysteries with Queer characters, a subgenre I have found to adore and hope you do too!

queer people solving mysteries

List of books with queer representation AND mystery. Can be murder mystery but not necessarily! (ps : I haven't read all the books in this list so if they suck it's not because I have bad taste)

A criminally underrated subgenre (someone assemble the Avengers to right this wrong), these superhero books are as action-packed and engaging as any Marvel or DC movie

Police officers, detectives, investigators. Will they find out who stole their heart?

Mostly achillean/mm romance
