If your soul is born into darkness, can light save you? While trying to get used to the new world Ura has found herself thrown into, protecting those she cares about seems impossible. Maxx really redeems himself in this story. At the end of True Light, I wasn’t really sure of him, but in this story we learn more about him and the reasons for his behaviors. Dark Soul picks up right after True Light, with Aura and Maxx trying to escape. At times it was heartbreaking to see what Aura has to do. We also learn more about what the true light is. I look forward to seeing what happens next in this series.
