My ex’s brother is back in town and this tatted chef is heating up something I never expected. Me. I thought I would help him get his new restaurant all set up. It was the perfect distraction I needed in my boring home town. But it became more of a distraction as we spent days working together. I can’t be falling for my ex’s troublemaking older brother. His resume includes a number one fine dining restaurant in Chicago. And every woman in the tri-state area. His talented hands craft the most delicious food I’ve ever tasted. And all he seems to want to taste is me. I’m not objecting… But his brother might.

Cal Younger was making his mark as a chef in Chicago when he was drawn into a scandal that he had nothing to do with and was fired. He has returned to his hometown and is trying to make a go with a farm to table restaurant. Everyone who was in town before knows him, which Cal views as something of a burden, but it's more a reflection of his father and his brother, Casey.
Cal keeps bumping into Allie, who used to date his brother. She helps him with the renovations of his restaurant building and they get closer. Each of them feels that they should resist the temptation between them, but they don't really fight it. There is a little angst with Cal's brother feeling that he stole Allie from him (mind you, they were over years ago and she doesn't want anything with him, so it's completely misplaced!). There is also the fact that Allie is doing what she can to leave town and Cal is coming home to build a life there. Ultimately, there is a happily ever after and a really sweet ending.
