This book did not feel like a romance book at all. Hard to read and the male protagonist is too hardened and callous. Does anybody believe that Alexander actually loves Helen? Due to the nonsensical explanation on the last pages, I felt like I wasted my time and that the story could be over quicker if they both talked to each other. If he didn't want to hurt her and she was too innocent and inexperienced then what was the point of their tense relationship?
