A fallen boxer. A woman with a broken dream. A competition... He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting... Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I've ever met in my life. He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I've never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong—but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents... But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me. I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations. If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?

    DNF 35%
I found this writing style to be very grating. And. Overwritten.
Everything felt turned up to 11 but not in a good way? The main female character is completely gaga over the hunky guy. Every other sentence is about how hot he is, how wet he makes her, how muscled and strong he his, how she's wild with wanting-- like that was at least 50% of the content???
The tension was constantly cranked up, just to edge you further when nothing happened.
I felt like there had been very little communication, connection, development etc-- I felt like I know nothing about Remington (other than his attractiveness and strength) and that he'd barely talked, even at 35%??
(and the MFC was having 'maybe I have real feelings' at this point, so I was eye rolling)

Also, idk what exactly was going to be developed next, because there are two friends/managers who help/work for/handle Remington, but the language being used and actions being taken at this point in the book were taking a weird and unexpected turn?? He was in a rage and the guys were talking about how he's been building up to this for awhile, and how they expected his mood and events to take a sudden turn, and when he starts to trash the hotel room one of the guys literally injects him in the neck with some sort of tranquilizer or something and then the other goes and hires 3 sex workers to service him??? but the drunk MFC is feeling and confused and rage-y and lusty and she doesn't want this to happen (whatever 'this' is??) so I was just like NOPE out of there.
