tina belcher eat your heart out. i really enjoyed this, it was wicked cute and the well done blog-esque feel brought a lot of personality. with greek mythology being my roman empire, the backdrop and characters were fab, loved ellie’s character build and journey. i struggled a little with the romance logic and the whiplash between “everything is horrible” and “everything is awesome”, i also didn’t feel the plot and all the little side parts were wrapped up quite as neatly as i wished (the tentacly twist at the end felt out of place). just a little polish perhaps but still a fun lil emotional mermaid romance for the 2014 tumblr fangirlies.
