What’s cooler than being cool? Reading publishers no one has ever heard of! And some everyone has heard of! Here are some of my favorite small(ish) publishers, each with three of my favorite representatives from their catalogue. In order:

• Archipelago Books
• Fitzcarraldo Editions
• New Directions Publishing
• NYRB Classics
• Transit Books
