A first-rate cozy mystery with great character development, writing perfectly tailored to the 1950s setting, and a solution that is sensible without being totally predictable. Can't wait for more installments starring this bold, slightly saucy former nun as amateur sleuth. CW: rape, death of a pet, homophobia, miscarriage Thank you to the publisher for my advance copy, provided in exchange for an honest review.
