Master Fantasy and Romantasy List
I'm sure some of these are already on your TBR, so might as well add some more! Let me know if I am missing any of your favorites!
fantasy to read on the train to the Taj Mahal
Indian inspired/set fantasy and folklore. Crowd-sourced from an ask in the Asian-inspired Fantasy quest, so check that out too, but always open to suggestions ☺️ Mostly Desi authors, though not exclusively. I have yet to read any, so join me as I work my way through these (and thanks to everyone who suggested them 🤍)
South Asian Fantasy & SciFi
All genres of Fantasy written by South Asian authors specifically.
Melanin Archives
My favourite books by BIPOC authors in a range of different genres (though I primarily read fantasy and romance) (only first book for a series added, unless not directly linked)
Strange and Magical Families
Ancestral curses, strange bloodlines, magical lineage, family secrets, and more! There's something about these families...
Inspired by Mythos
Retellings and reimaginings of stories and influences from various mythos and pantheons (only putting the first book in each series)
South Asian inspired fantasy
That girly feeling of wanting to burn it all down
ARCs 🥰
I do a lot of ARC reads (maybe too many) and I want to highlight some of my favourites! Complied here are favs that I rated 3 or higher.
