Recs if you like My Murder...

An emergent subgrene by and about strange women on themes of female rage, sisterhood, hunger, attraction, beauty, motherhood, violence, and much more.

Is it fantasy? Horror? Magical realism? Sci-fi? Litfic? It's best not to ask questions.

So I LOVE the show Cold Case (ilysm Lilly Rush/Scotty Valens). Cold case mystery/thrillers live in that unsettling space where justice failed the first time, and the world moved on as if the truth didn’t matter. These stories, like the show, return to those forgotten crimes years, even decades later, when a detective, journalist, podcaster, or relentless outsider decides to dig deeper. #tacklingunfinishedbusiness #coldcases

Lets time travel!! Into the past or future or alternate realities or even extended lifetimes - wherever it takes us 💫

Have you ever read a story and realized some things didn't add up?

Perhaps your narrator has a distorted reality due to trauma or mental illness?

Maybe your narrator omits certain things to paint a different picture?

Possibly your narrator doesn't understand key things, and it leads to varying meanings?

Well, if you enjoy stories like that, you're in luck, because here are some of the best stories with unreliable narrators.

Books with a very satisfying or wholly unexpected plot twist (or even better, more than one), even if it made you cry, angry, feel creeped out, or cause you to throw your book across the room. Recommendations welcome!

Books Lexi specifically recommends; not an exhaustive list of all the books she's featured on her channel included anything she rated 4 stars and over only the first book in a series

Books with a plot twist you (probably) won’t see coming.
