Time; they say it heals all wounds. But what happens when time isn’t a luxury you can spare? Haunted by Luciano, I attempt to rebuild myself and forget what happened. But moving forward is easier said than done, especially when I’m no longer facing just one enemy. Revenge is no longer on my agenda. Now, I have to fight to protect those closest to me. I swore to make things right and I never break a promise. But my convictions are tested as I’m thrown into more secrets and deceit each day. I have a war on my hands, a war I might not win. But I’ll be damned if I lose. Lies broke us, but what if the truth is more dangerous than the secrets? **This book is part of a duet and cannot be read without reading book one, The Silence Lies first**

The Truth Hurts is the second book in this Why Choose romance, and it's absolutely amazing! It picks up right where the first book left off, with tons of secrets, betrayals, and OMG moments.
Sera is a total bad@ss. She's strong, resilient, and so easy to love. The relationships between Sera and her guys (Luca, Levi, Enzo, and Gio) are the heart of the story. Each one is different, with a mix of passion, loyalty, and drama that will keep you hooked. The plot twists and turns are insane – I never knew what was going to happen next! The characters grow so much throughout the story, and it's awesome to see how they all develop. And the steamy scenes – they're HOT. Like, off-the-charts hot. But they don't take over the story, which is a perfect balance. The chemistry between all the characters is so intense, whether it's romantic or just the bond between friends.
If you're into reverse harem romances, you HAVE to read this duet. It's seriously addictive. Sophie Lark knows how to create a world full of complex characters, intense relationships, and a plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Even though The Truth Hurts wraps up the story, you'll be left wanting more!
