Fake dating the grumpy, billionaire to get what I need surely can’t go wrong. This hunky CEO has avoided me for weeks and now, all of a sudden, he needs my help and is dangling the interview I need to help boost my career. The proposal is simple. I attend his fundraiser as his arm candy so he doesn’t have to go alone and I get my interview. I may have overplayed my hand though as my charms have completely won over all of his friends and has him seeing me differently. They want to see more of us together and a trip to his cabin with them may just seal the deal for my interview until a storm traps us and the night takes an unexpected turn for pleasure. He’s the grumpiest man I’ve ever met, but I see the rugged protector in him even though he is 10 plus years older than me and its sexy as hell. The chemistry between us keeps pulling us together and I know I can’t resist this sexy man no matter how hard I resist.

Michael is a billionaire businessman and Ava has been after him to try and obtain an interview. She follows him to a shopping mall and continues to ask him for an interview. The person that he usually has accompany him to events had to cancel, so he convinces Ava to go to the event with him (she's willing because she thinks she can soften him up and get that interview). Of course, these things are never simple and she ends up having to do other events to convince people she's his girlfriend. The more time that they spend together, the more sparks fly. This is never going to end well, but will they be able to convince people that they are for real if the time comes?
I enjoyed the idea of this story even though I didn't really care for the characters all that much. They were flat and sort of going through the motions. They were missing something.
