Fiction stories about Haunted houses and other locations. Maybe it’s ghosts, maybe it’s cursed, maybe it’s ancient gods or creatures? All kinda of supernatural haunts and creatures attached to homes, objects, or locations.

not sure i would take these books titled “how to” or “guide to” at face value but your mileage may vary.

... You're trapped here with me! The format: A group of people (could be strangers, or long-lost friends) are gathered or trapped in an isolated place together. Maybe it's a remote island. Maybe a cozy cabin during a blizzard. Someone is killed. The killer is obviously among them, but who?! Submissions welcome because this is my favourite mystery sub-genre at the moment, and I can't wait to discover more!

very interested in books where the house/estate/setting becomes a character or major player in the plot and themes. not necessarily horror, but that seems the most common! I haven’t read very many tho so this is mostly tbr. suggestions welcome!!!!!
