Recs if you like The Fervor...

i'm always open to further suggestions from your own culture if you have any books you think deserve a further spotlight or you don't see them mentioned here.

Books that are just as good as the cover promises. AKA: Fantastic book covers that also happen to be fantastic books! List will be added to in the future because I can’t leave well enough alone. (Suggestions welcome, leave it in the comments.)

Fiction and nonfiction list. History sure does rhyme. If you have recs for this list, let me know!! Specifically, I'm looking for more adult nonfiction published in the last 10 years, but I'll take anything! Please don't comment that you "didn't learn about this in school", it is not my problem.

This is a list of horror books written by women, as recommended by Sadie Hartmann (Mother Horror) in her book Feral and Hysterical. I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of Feral and Hysterical because it is so much more than a list of books. There are more lists of books, but also thoughtful essays by women writers. It's worth spending some time with Feral and Hysterical.
