Early 2000s coded humorous novels. Probably vaguely (or explicitly) politically incorrect, focused more on zany one-liners and witticisms than the plot--but not always! Character heavy, typically with an ensemble cast. Fun and feisty. (This list is currently male heavy, so please recommend female authors to add!)

Fiction books of varying genres set in the USA's Sunshine State. Some books highlight the beauty of Florida, while others highlight the dicey history of the state. And some do neither; they're just here for a good time! There's so much more to our state than beaches, spring break, and amusement parks. Not all books written by Florida locals.
