Louisa inspired me to organise better my political reading and she always gives some nice recommendations to inform yourself about the political landscape of today. I just wanted to have all the books in one place, plus the ones which I found on my own reading journey.

Unpicking internalised sexism is important, and books might be a useful tool to help ourselves and others. Intersections with issues of age, race, class etc.are likely!

Dissecting masculinity and society’s role in the way we view gender

Some books I consider to be essential (or just really good) to understand the world from a sociological perspective. (Note: I am a Mexican sociologist so some of the books might be in their Spanish title) ( Note 2: I added that Louise Tilly book but I think that any other would also be a good alternative. I added her because I think she’s a great historian who really contributed to historic sociology)
