Yikes, lowest so far in the series

-Declan was just too much - he's evil, he's a happy drug user (which is resolved), he's hurt others, he's manipulative
-Regin was such a cool character from the previous books, she deserved way better!
-In some ways, the 'reincarnation' theme is similar to a second chance trope, which isn't my favorite. Regin is too sympathetic to Declan because of her old feelings toward Aiden, and she forgives Declan too easily
-This definitely needed more grovel--Declan was too much and had done too much bad, not enough time was spent redeeming him or giving him the character growth that I wanted/needed to make him likeable or good enough for Regin
-I did like seeing Thad and also the bits of Lothaire we saw in this book, plus I hope that fae comes back too
