Recs if you like The Poetic Edda...

When gods were real and heroes walked the earth, these stories were everything.

If you like The Odyssey, The Iliad, and crave more knowledge on mythological epics told around the world - this list is for you! As much as I love the existing quests and lists around Greco-Roman mythology and its retellings, it fuelled the flame to read other epics that are overshadowed by Greek/Roman/Norse mythology. Start exploring! May you be blessed by the Gods/Goddesses, traveller!

The books in this list are a compilation of the ancient and classical texts from around the world. Whether you are looking for a good translation or curious about ancient texts and authors, like Homer and his Illiad and Odyssey, then this is where you can come to satiate your curiosity for the ancients. Please let me know if there are any I have missed!

Some sources, some retellings, and some mythology-based fantasy.
