Recs if you like Mink River...

i love when animals get the chance to yap and/or narrate their own stories :)

recommendations welcome!

All the towns or cities in these books deserve a detour. Some probably even a quarantine. From bizarre creatures to cosmic weirdness to simmering malevolence to just plain human absurdity, these stories have it all. If you can’t keep driving, just remember, don’t drink the water

Let the animals tell the story! I am trying to be as comprehensive as possible with the exception of children’s books, graphic novels and comics (too many to list!)-although there are some. The list is inclusive of the Animal POV main quest and the Cat POV side quest.

fiction books that primarily take place in the pnw

Because who doesn’t love birds?? Fiction and non-fiction books all featuring birds prominently on the cover. This is what I spend my time thinking about 😭

Books featuring sentient/speaking animals acting like animals — not merely humans dressed in animal costume.

Pacific Northwest authors and settings

This is a list of books that at least one person thinks you should read. A book that, no matter who you are, is worth giving a try. Out there in the world, this is someone's favourite book. They wish absolutely everyone they know would sit down and read it. Will you give any of these a chance? The books chosen for this list are members of the community, as well as my coworkers at the bookstore I work at.
