I didn’t know how much I needed the submissive/dominant combo with the submissive being the MMC and the dominant being the FMC. Quite honestly, I hadn’t thought about that dynamic and how difficult it could be for those involved. I love how much the author reinforces the fact that being submissive does not mean being weak, as she has in previous stories.
The fact that the first “adult” relationship Felix had was with a dominant who was not careful about how she treated others made a lasting impact on him. Yet when Dezi comes sniffing around, he cannot seem to follow his own advice to not get involved with a dominant. Dezi is intrigued by Felix and wants to get to know him better. She always thought she needed a dominant to keep her cat happy, but it turns out that’s not the case.
I love this couple and how they take their time to figure out what works for them. The more they trust each other the more they can let go and be themselves. They are another powerful couple tying the DarkRiver and SnowDancer packs together.
