Don't Watch the Anime
Manga (and novels) that had disappointing anime adaptations (according to me). Series that only had piecemeal "greatest hits" OVAs will also be included. Series that fell off after a promising debut are also included. Series with one good adaptation but some bad ones are also included.

Queer Manga
Manga that I feel in my soul is subtextually or explicitly queer.

Broken but not Ruined
This list focuses on characters that have lived through physical, sexual, or religious trauma. This is not a list of self help or feel good books. This is for the people who know life is dark, love is conditional, and trust is something you guard. Endings are not guaranteed to be happy (tho some are) and characters may not be likable (trauma does that to you), but all books listed are ones that I've personally read and like. I will not add books that I do not know.

Healing is optional, suffering is the focus
I have come to realise I am driven to stories which have a big focus on trauma. Here is a list of what I have already finished and enjoyed with a big focus on trauma either directly or indirectly through metaphors. Some of theses will be more intense than others, please do read the description of each one for content warnings. I will try to keep this updated as I read more, you can mention recommendations in the comments but I won't add anything unless I have read it myself xD
