Three months ago, I had the best night of my life at my friend’s wedding. The man was confident, smooth, gorgeous as sin. We had a connection that I had never felt with anyone.Or so I thought, because the next morning, he was gone before I woke up with a note that led me to believe he was not interested in a repeat.Feeling rejected and confused, I managed to put him out of my head.Until now, on my first day of my new job.Because the man responsible for the best night of my life?...Is my married boss. And he hasn’t stopped thinking about me either. *This book is the third in the Secrets series and can be read as a stand-alone.

Well, this was a ride! My first book by this author! I must say I liked this book even though I’m giving it 3.5 stars. Morally, I cannot agree with the cheating that happens in this book, but the spice was everything! The book also has forbidden romance, office romance, age gap, and forced proximity. I also don’t really like age gaps because they make me cringe. However, this one is decent.
Now about the characters. The two characters met at Marissa’s roommate’s wedding. The two have a one night stand and Chris never forgot about her existence.
With that being said, Marissa and Chris’s relationship was definitely insta love. Honestly, I’m not sure if it was love at all. Maybe lust? I was very annoyed with how Marissa kept running back to him, knowing he was married. There’s a reason why he cheats but still, I couldn’t stand it. Then again, this book is fictional with cheating. I also think the last 25% of the book was rushed. It was good, but the timing just seemed rushed.
Overall I enjoyed the messiness in this book and will be reading other books by this author!
One thing about me: I love QB Tyler.
Another thing about me: cheating trope is NOT for me.
See the problem? I decided to try this anyway because of my love for the author, and oh my god she absolutely crushed it. I am obsessed and I want MORE. I feel guilty as sin loving this as much as I do. This was done SO WELL and I absolutely love that Marissa stood up for what she deserved. I read this in one sitting because I was just hooked from the get go. This is by far my favorite from QB Tyler. I’m in love.
