Never Let Go

Lauren Biel

Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

The enemy you lie with isn’t always your enemy I was a snake, and she was the sweet little mouse. Sure, she could bite, but she was soft enough to soothe the most dangerous beast. Me. No matter how poised I was to strike, she ripped me wide open. Mackenzie forced me to confront the past I tried to hide from. Once she opened the box, there was no closing it. She changed everything. We may have taken her, but she left us just as scathed. Benjamin was a thing of nightmares. Something I was taught to fear. I didn’t expect I’d end up letting the monster into my heart. He sank his claws into me and made me realize the only difference between us was my ability to choose when to bite. The moment he showed me his humility, there was no way I could ignore it. He may have made me mourn the life I had, but I resurrected his. Can I escape captivity? Will I be able to recognize myself once I do? Never Let Go takes Lauren Biel’s readers on a darker journey this time. If you like broken characters who fall in love in the face of depravity, this story will captivate you. Order now to find out how much love it takes to tame a beast. TW: Abuse, abduction, murder, sexual content, non-con-ish (not between mcs), off-page childbirth loss This contemporary dark thriller romance is highly recommended for adult readers only. Firstly, I have to preface this by saying,  please read the trigger warnings. This is a really dark novel.

If you've read Lauren's traumances before, you'll know that you are in for a ride. But this novel takes dark to a whole new level.

This is such a beautifully written story from a dual POV. It's extremely raw, emotional, and tragic. I'm still processing all my emotions, and I was truly left speechless.

It is different from anything I've ever read before, and my heart was racing from beginning to end.

It is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read and truly unforgettable.

I don't consider this a romance novel. It is about Mackenzie fighting to survive and trauma bonding and being stockholmed with her captor.

I'll say it again, read the trigger warnings. It's not for the faint of heart.
