Recs if you like Shrek!...

Shrek is love. Shrek is life.

Much like books to movies but solely focused on animated movies/series! Suggestions welcome!

These are book-to-screen adaptations that you didn't know were books! Feel free to recommend or make a suggestion! Please keep in mind some movie adaptations were renamed and may not have the same name as a book. Feel free to do more research or comment if you don't know which movie was based on the book with a different name. Note: this list also includes movie novelizations. 💕 Credits to IMDB user, Goodreads, BookBub, and Buzzfeed for the book recs. (in progress)

As many books as I can find that were turned into musicals. …yes I made my whole senior project for my English B.A. about this (more specifically children’s lit 😂)

Yes, the movies are great. Yes, you already know how it ends. And yes—it’s still 100% worth reading anyway
