This coming-of-age story explores all of the excitement, frustrations, and sadness of growing up and finding yourself. It touches on depression, divorce, virginity, teen pregnancy, abuse, love, and heartbreak. The Shakespearian love story is so tragic...it ended before it really ever began. I wish the ending wasn't spoiled in the beginning of the book but even though I knew what happened, I wasn't ready and it still broke my heart.

I liked the pace of the book, but it was so juvenile. It didn’t get really good until the end. It was sad but I don’t feel like it lined up with the rest of the book. On the fence if I will read the second book.
