No one knows what happens up at Midnight Manor. The home of the Voss brothers sits like a sentinel looking down on our small town, remaining a mystery. The four brooding billionaires rarely leave the confines of the iron gates, fueling rumors that have existed for decades. When my father dies, all the security I’ve known is ripped away, forcing me to come face to face with the eldest brother, Asher Voss. His outward beauty is just as I’d heard—it belies a predatory nature, irresistibly drawing me in. A bargain is made, and I have no choice but to live in the shadowy confines of his gothic manor to save my family. As time passes, it becomes harder and harder to deny our attraction. Asher Voss might be too old for me, and he’s definitely cursed by his own demons, but an inferno of passion between us threatens to either consume or destroy us both. MOONLIT THORNS is a dark contemporary romance Beauty and the Beast retelling.

“She's a motherfucking flame, and I'm the moth who doesn't care if my wings get burned.” —Asher Voss gurgling choking gasping wheezing screaming throwing up This book is infuriatingly blazing. It has hotter and smuttier spicy scenes among my other reads, and I'm so thrilled with that. No wonder, this was a 'Beauty and the Beast' retellings, because Asher Voss is ruthless and animalistic. And the way he gave her a whole damn fcking library?!? swooning limping wheezing throwing up. Isn't that the dream of all book lovers? Girl, Anabelle has me envious. And tho, she doesn't seem like a real badass, I still admire her balance of innocence and determination. Not to mention, Asher's gentle and delicate treatment of Anabelle, which essentially ensured her comfort in everything, has me yelling, wheezing, and throwing up. The most significant element of the book, in my opinion, is that the evidence of anything might be dark with necessarily being consensual between the couple. Also, you wouldn't want to miss this sensational quote: “You have ruined me for anyone else, Anabelle Boudreaux. It’s you or no one.” —Asher Voss I devoured this book. While the 'touch her and you die' plotline was a little too much to handle, I nevertheless really enjoyed this. Even if the spice and smut would push me over the edge, I nonetheless found it enjoyable either. Furthermore, compliments to Marcio Catalano and Rose Dioro for narrating this book. I think it's fantastic how they brought the characters to life! I'm eager to find out what the other three Voss brothers are up to. I will definitely read Shattered Vows right after this! 🔥💥
