The truth has come to light... but can I ever trust my men again? After weeks of cruel hostility, the guys I swore to save know how wrong they were—at least about what I did four years ago. Now that they've seen my horrifying new power, will they decide I'm an enemy after all? With what they put me through, I'm not sure I even want to stick with them. These brutal men aren't the boys I fell in love with anymore. But nothing matters more than learning how to control my own vicious urges. So I'll accept a tentative truce while we hunt down more answers... by turning to the very monsters our creator feared most.

This is everything I wanted to happen after book one. Honestly best sequel with the relationships. The middle and lead up to the ending was boring but it's ok because it's obviously training time(which isn't that what they've been doing this whole time while caged up?) but the relationship fights and rekindlings make it go by fast!
Spoilers here on out!
The (not so surprise) tentacle porn was great! The closest we ever got was North Dravens shadow vines in Broken Bonds but this is what we all wanted! We got to see these tentacles get out to work and they did in a threesome. The sex scene, immaculate.
This definitely had middle book syndrome where it gets repetitive. Run away from bad guys, train powers to get stronger, rinse, repeat.
I also still dislike Jacob. I'm sorry but I just don't think he should be forgiven before any of the other boys, especially poor Zian
We never really get a full description on what these shadowblood creatures are? Theyre demons and come from another rift they said but they aren't born?? So many questions
I will def be reading the next book but taking a break for a bit!
