Very short companion novel. The timing of this was a little weird, it felt on one hand like it was just after the first book but in reality it was a year later, immediately before the second book. But otherwise, it was nice to have more from this couple. I think Bennett's perspective was well done, perhaps a smidgen flowery, but recognizable.
HOWEVER: there were pages upon PAGES of italics. THIS IS OBNOXIOUS!! In Bennett's font, it wasn't terrible, but this is just unnecessary. Put in some flashback ellipses and page break symbols and readers will get the picture!
