"You won't sleep when you're dead either." The most haunting proverb if not the most haunting line of the entire Night Vale universe so far.

i’m constantly fascinated how creative this is. it’s unique, cerebral, and charming. in a more traditional book someone has to come up with a couple creative ideas and flesh it out; here, every paragraph is a new interesting piece of the night vale world. although i’m usually a quality over quantity fan in all things, the quantity here is wildly impressive (and let’s be honest the quality is there as well). i also like that this brought in recurring themes and stories, it made it seems much more like a community vs random events. however i do think i’m done reading this series purely because i’m missing the voice acting and sounds. i’m gonna go back to listening to the podcasts and maybe reading along
