I'm so disappointed. I really liked the characters before and I was all in with the plot but this wasn't it. Their relationship was fine and overall as characters they made sense. That said, the conversations between everyone felt so forced, they seemed like speeches and they were very repetitive. They didn't made sense at all, we can appreciate that a character is a feminist without them saying it ALL the time or having artificial conversations about their feelings. The later gave the ick a lot because it happened often with the guys group, it wasn't believable. It made me kind of hate some of the characters that I already loved from the other books. Yes, I know I'm reading fiction and I'm all in believing X things but this felt so unrealistic. I'm sad, I loved Power Play and Face Off and I was very excited for Lexi and Riley's story.
