'Resonance' is supposed to be a dream - that's when your soulmate is chosen for you. And everyone on the ice planet has hooked up with a big, hunky soulmate of their own... except me. So do I want a mate? Heck yeah. More than anything, all I've ever wanted is to be loved by someone. Except that the soulmate chosen for me? My least favorite person on the darn ice planet. Haeden's the most cranky, disapproving, unpleasant, overbearing male alien... so why is it that my body sings when he gets close? Why is he working so hard to prove to me that he's not as awful as I think he is? I hate him... don't I?

Barbarians mate
- I didn't really get why these two were so at odds with each other? I know Haeden is a surly and scowling guy, a grump, but I just didn't really buy their animosity at the start. And most of the "he's a jerk!" was pure miscommunication stuff, fine at first but got old quickly
- thought it was interesting to see the resonance fight / outlast, thought it was interesting to have Haeden have a previous mate/sad backstory. Could have been handled a bit more directly (AKA him feeling unworthy / why have two women rejected him; Josie feeling more bad / empathetic / sympathetic / guilty)
- I love that Haeden was willing to go along with Josie's wants-- consent emphasized and also this was basically a sacrifice for her. He allows her her freedom but is still protective instead of angry (mostly)
- Josie being eaten was a dramatic moment, and Haeden's almost suicide-- whew!
- there was almost too much sex once it got started, like the carrying her and sex every 30 minutes?
- I am intrigued by the two new women
