Recs if you like The Bride of Lammermoor...

A comprehensive list from Dr. Rebecca Marks (ig:culture_dumper). Includes English, American, Irish, Scottish, German, French, Spanish and Latin American Gothic stories.

This list will showcase the vast amount of Scottish Literature available, from the late medieval period to the present day. Partly inspired by there only being a few Scottish books on the 'British Classics' quest. Alba gu bràth!

(This is not exhaustive! Just 100 or so books that vaguely trace the development of Scottish Literature.)

The books mentioned or alluded to in The Astral Library by Kate Quinn. If it’s a series, book 1 is listed unless a specific book was mentioned. Where just the author was mentioned, I’ve made my best guess.

Listed books/authors are NOT endorsements. Some authors/series are problematic, but I have chosen not to censor this list with one exception that, if mentioned in the book, shall not be named in this list.
