This story was so fun for having a lot of serious action in it. Eris is a mage, but she's never been clued into what any of that means. At this point, people are trying to get her for unsavory reasons, and shifter/biker Mac is the person who has to protect her and teach her why they might want to kill her. He has other reasons to protect her too, though -- she's his fated mate. He'll do whatever he has to to protect her and make her his.
