This list is dedicated for all the book recommended and mentioned by Louisa Munch - critical theorist. I follow her Instagram account almost from the very first videos. Louisa inspired me to organise better my political reading and she always gives some nice recommendations to inform yourself about the political landscape of today. I just wanted to have all the books in one place, plus the ones which I found on my own reading journey.

We can't have a democracy without informed citizens - Louisa Toxvaerd Munch

A growing collection of books that can help to better understand the past, present, and perhaps future of the US.

History repeats, and most of us need an education.

Includes classics on American history & contemporary looks at the many -ism’s that consume us. Some microhistories are also thrown in. See them as case studies.

This list is by no means exhaustive. Feel free to comment other titles!

books on power, propaganda, obedience, and democratic backsliding

emotionally resonant and impactful reads that will make you feel all of the feels (and, if you're like me, cry).

A list of books to inspire deflating spirits, to educate, and light a path to keep democracies strong.
