    Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

This was my first James Patterson book and it was JUUST enough to have me accept to get another one, but I don’t think it was a very good first.
It started out really good, the writing was fine and the characters seemed to develop quickly but nicely and then around page 180 something happened and it seemed like there was a gap of missing information and it was kind of meh from there. The story went all over the place and was a bit confusing to keep up with as they moved the main character her around to Paris, Rome and no one knew about it....?
There are 2 virgins, and the other girl who was carrying a miracle baby got next to no story and there was maybe all of 30 pages that included her in (that maybe overestimated even) I felt like she should have gotten more and could have made it interesting as her town abused her and her mother was ill.
The ending wrapped up too quickly and then slid an entire other story line that I would have enjoyed reading more of and ended like there was going to be a sequel, which I was disappointed to find out there isn’t.
Overall I wouldn’t say I hated this book but I was underwhelmed once it got all wonky with the writing.
