Neryn has made a long journey to perfect her skills as a Caller. She has learned the wisdom of water and of earth; she has journeyed to the remote isles of the west and the forbidding mountains of the north. Now, Neryn must travel in Alban's freezing winter to seek the mysterious White Lady, Guardian of Air. For only when Neryn has been trained by all four Guardians will she be ready to play her role in toppling the tyrannical King Keldec. But the White Lady is not what she seems. Trapped with Whisper, her fey protector, Neryn is unable to send word to her beloved Flint, who is in danger of being exposed as a double agent. When a new threat looms and the rebellion is in jeopardy, Neryn must enter Keldec's court, where one false move could see her culled. She must stand up against forces more powerful than any she has confronted before, and face losses that could break her heart. The Caller is the thrilling conclusion to the Shadowfell trilogy.

It's hard to put to words what those books mean to me. I am certain that most people would love them or at least had very pleasant, enriching read. In comparison, most YA series I finished lately now feel childish.
I called my sister and told her that if I could choose one book she'd read from the bunch I recommended her, Shadowfell would be it.
General consensus is those are YA, but to me, they don't feel YA. I kept imagining Flint and Neryn as much older. Though I can't think of a way, it would not break the plot. But I diverge from the most important message. I want to spread the knowledge about this series and share my love for it.
From the very first book to the last, it made me only love it, love its characters. My heart broke multiple times for them. At times, a wave of feelings overwhelmed me, caught my breath. The finale kept me on the verge of tears for 2 hours. In the end, I wish there was more. I wasn't ready to say goodbye.

    I'm still not ready.
