Recs if you like Dead Water...

the darker side of new england. crumbling colonial-era brick, run down coastal towns, abandoned factories, dilapidated mills, foggy orchards, cold dark waters, whispers of witchcraft, venerated institutions, secret societies, and uneasy echoes of the past.

All the towns or cities in these books deserve a detour. Some probably even a quarantine. From bizarre creatures to cosmic weirdness to simmering malevolence to just plain human absurdity, these stories have it all. If you can’t keep driving, just remember, don’t drink the water

I do note that 70% is horror, but I am biased in my reading so that doesn't mean anything yet.

Recommendations are welcome, just keep in mind I'm trying to avoid children and middle grade books and I'm very hesitant to include YA books- but please feel free to convince me.
