Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

He claimed me as his… and I was too powerless to stop it. Dimitri Novikoff has set his eyes on me. As punishment for my brother’s actions, I now belong to a man that wants to hurt me. Dimitri is known as the Bratva’s torturer. Pain and misery bring him comfort. And now he wants me for himself. I despise him. And yet my body responds to his touch. I’m stuck in this relationship with no way out. I’m not sure I’ll even survive it. But if I want any chance of escape, I’ll have to go further into the darkness of our relationship. Even if it causes my own death. Sweet Captivity is the first book in a three book series that focuses on Sabina and Dimitri. This book does end in a cliffhanger but the ultimate series will have a happy ending. Please this is a spin off series to my other series, The Antonov Mafia, so there some spoilers for that series. If you want to read that series first, you can start with Bound by the Bratva. You don't need to have read that series to enjoy this one though. You can start with this book if you want to.

Publication Year: 2023

This is the first book in this new mafia series by Ivy Davis and I cannot wait to read more. This one features the story of Dmitri and Sabina (if you have read any of Ivy's other series, they were also in the Antonov Mafia series). Sabina's brother has been causing trouble so of course, they send someone to take his sister, Sabina. She's not supposed to be hurt, they are just supposed to take her and hold her (that is what happened, but if she took the kind of attitude with me that she did with them, I would have had a hard time not smacking her at least ha ha!). Dmitri is the one who comes to get her and while he doesn't expect anything to come of the situation, he is surprised when he is attracted to her. There are sparks between the two of them and the more time that they spend together, the more attracted they become. We also find out that the attitude from Sabina is more a defense mechanism than anything and she can be sweet when she wants to be. Given the situation, though, can these two be anything more?
