I love fairy tales so this was right up my alley. I loved the references in the book. The character development was interesting to watch between all the characters except Kyle's dad. My favorite quotes are as follows: "A beautiful thing is precious, no matter the price. Those who do not know how to see the precious things in life will never be happy" (Flinn 26). "Those who do not know how to see the precious things in life will never be happy " (82). "People make such a big deal about looks, but after a while, when you know someone, you don't even notice anymore, do you? It's just the way they look (153).These quotes very much sum up the feel of the book. It was easy to read, understand, and connect to.
