Set in Los Angeles …
This 8th installment is as full of wit as ever, along with corruption, media, women’s equality talks, action, bodies … Spenser walking out on yet another employer.
In this one we see Spenser sleep with someone other than Susan and claiming she won’t mind since there’s not an emotional connection. There was even a rare, unexpected twist!

This narrator … is okay. While he does NOT bother with a Boston accent, there is a vibe to his vintage-y sound and being 5 books in now, I’m getting used to him. :)
