Recs if you like The Upside of Unrequited ...

the staples of the book community on youtube in the early to mid 2010s.

Ah yes, this ol' issue that has plagued librarians and bookstore clerks for decades.

And sometimes you find the right book, but... can you even call that shade blue?

Titles that feature alliteration and we love to see it. Recommendations requested to round out this remarkably ridiculous recital.

This week is Jewish Book Week! To celebrate, we compiled a list of our favorite books with queer Jewish characters. Also includes queer books by Jewish authors that don't necessarily include obvious Jewish representation. (This list is presented by Duck Prints Press, the indie publisher focused on publishing queer art and stories by queer creators! A group of us collaborate to make these recommendations.)

All of these are from the list that Texas lawmaker Matt Krause in October of 2021 tried and in many cases succeeded to get banned from classrooms and school libraries. Inspired by Autostraddle's Queer Books Across America list

I wish I had a list like this growing up. So here is a list of books that are queer or otherwise include queer rep, but don’t have a same sex couple on the cover. Let’s help people explore without feeling they have to hide it. This list is for readers of all ages. You’re never too old to explore 😉 If it’s a series, only the first book is listed. Feel free to comment suggestions!

Stories that have the classic air of a good romantic comedy.
