Fantasy books series that start with trials, competitions and games

Such an underrated genre in my opinion. These are books I've read and on my TBR, feel free to recommend more!

Sometimes they have questionable morals, sometimes they are irredeemable, but no matter what there are princes (and technically kings) in these books that suck!
