Recs if you like Wash Day Diaries...

in progress

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Open to suggestions for more titles.

Don't shoot the messenger.

LGBT*+ graphic novels / comics / manga +

Fluff to smut, including 18+ etc aka not exclusive to anything specific other than being queer content (queer & queer-rep inclusive stories). I have read a good handful of the ones now at the bottom of the list. Includes intended middle-grade-ish-level youth content to adult audience content.

In progress / updated over time. Mostly serving as an all-in-one-spot list until Pagebound figures something out that works well for multi-genre/format exploration. :)

(recs highly welcome) Attempting a highly exhaustive list.

I’m aiming to read 100 queer graphic novels, so here’s my list of the ones I’ve already read and the ones I plan to read. There might not be 100 books on the list yet, as I’m still gathering them all together.

I have spent years curating a list of graphic novels for myself on goodreads and I thought this place would be great to share it and share my love for graphic novels. I’m not picky about the plot or topics of the graphic novels I read so the list is pretty much any graphic novel I have heard of regardless of topic. Many are middle grade or young adult as is the general trend of the format but recommendations for more (especially adult) would be greatly appreciated.

Also manga is not included.

Here are a bunch of graphic novels from different genres and ages! Mostly queer books also! Let me know if you need specific recs and leave your recommendations in the comments!

A list of queer graphic novels! 🥰 I'll update this list as I go. Some of these have queerness as their main topic and some have queer side characters. For series I only added the first volume. (Edit: in "Dungeon Club" queerness becomes a more important topic later on in the series.) I'm happy to add stuff, feel free to comment! 🌟

My favourite books or from my TBR by BIPOC authors in a range of different genres (though I primarily read fantasy and romance) (only first book for a series added, unless not directly linked)

"i do it for the girls and the gays, that's it"

Books that feel like a warm hug and leave us feeling hopeful and whimsical, a little light amidst the dark. For the days we cannot have any more reality but instead need a cup of fluffy dreams and a pick-me-up and some optimism for the future

Graphic novels, manga, etc. With sapphic characters

Oftentimes nonblack readers act as though the only time of the year they should read books by and about black people is in February. Support books by and about Black people all year and not just one month out of the year cause that’s performative.

Just a list of books featuring black protagonists in various genres: fantasy, romantasy, horror, Sci-Fi., Contemporary romance, historical romance...

lgbt+ graphic novels, comics & manga

BL, romance, fantasy, and everything in between - manga, manhwa, light novels, graphic novels, and comics. All my favourite stories and ones on my TBR. A mix of clean and spicy (only adding the first vol for each series)

soothing comfort reads, advice, and relatable messy stories, among other things that may momentarily quell the chaos of our 20s 🚧 under construction 🚧 open to recs, esp whimsical ones!

Main characters that are considered “plus-sized” but their success in their stories is not tied to weight loss.

graphic novels for adults who appreciate art, don’t have time to commit to dense literature, but want to experience all the feels
