Kelly Collins welcomes you back to Cross Creek where love conquers all—including the secrets that haunt you... Miranda Thomas got under my skin, in a good way. The pretty little sheriff was one-part mystery and the rest perfection. I wanted her, and I intended to make her mine. Our future was as plain as day: husband and wife with two children and a house with a white picket fence. But she was hiding something, and I needed to know what it was. If she didn’t let me in, there would be no chance for us. Bayden Lockhart was relentless in his pursuit of me. He was like a habitual offender, but his only crime was stealing my heart. He looked at me like I could be his forever, but I knew better. Family was the number one priority for the Lockharts, and Bayden wasn’t any different. As part of the Lockhart Brothers’ Construction Company, he was used to building from the ground up. Too bad my life was constructed on a shaky foundation. I wanted him and needed him, but I was no good for him. I had a secret that tore me apart, and if I let him in, it might destroy him as well. Could I find the courage to tell Bayden the truth? And more importantly, if I did, would it bring us together or tear us apart? Find out in Fearless Hart, the second book in the long-awaited Cross Creek Series.

Miranda has intrigued me since I first read about her but I had no idea of the secret she held and lordy does your heart break for her and it just shows that you can look strong on the outside but be fractured on the inside. While Miranda is trying to shut everyone out like she always has, thankfully she has Bayden who knows Miranda is specialist and do what he needs to be there one way or another. This is a story of moving on from past devastation and letting people in as well as showing that a relationship can start on any level including just being at the other end of the phone. Each book we get to know more about the townsfolk as well as see people who aren't perfect learn the imperfections make us human and I soo can't wait for the next book!!!
