Recs if you like The Bones of Ruin (The Bones of Ruin, #1)...

books by black authors and/or with black characters

My favourite books or from my TBR by BIPOC authors in a range of different genres (though I primarily read fantasy and romance) (only first book for a series added, unless not directly linked)

Fantasy, Romantasy, Science Fiction, and Speculative Fiction books written by authors of the diaspora

Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Dystopian stories with decolonial roots and raging against the machine. ⭐eat the rich⭐defund the police⭐fuck ICE⭐LAND BACK

I love whimsy and books around a circus (or circus adjacent vibes like whimsical carnivals, festivals, etc)

Retellings and reimaginings of stories and influences from various mythos and pantheons (only putting the first book in each series)

Adult and YA fantasy written by Canadian authors

Books that I wish more people would read!

Fantasy Romance and Romantasy are two different genres, but I enjoy them all the same. This list is full of books from both genres, ranging from YA to extra spicy. Recommendations always welcome!
