Ok. Maybe I never realized it in the cartoon, but these girls mature physically when they change into their magical selves. So like, how do we account for the difference in ages between them and their love interests?
I have questions. I think they're intended to be like middle-school kids and that's now working for me but, I'll suspend my belief on these.
I just enjoy them, ok.
